Christopher Lee Rios (November 9, 1971 - February 7, 2000), better known as Big Punisher or Big Pun, was a Puerto Rican American rapper who emerged from the underground rap scene in The Bronx in the late 1990s. He first appeared on albums from The Beatnuts on the track “Off the Books” and on Fat Joe’s second album Jealous One’s Envy, on the track “Watch Out”, prior to signing to Loud Records as a solo artist.

■通称、Big pun。Hip-hopアーティストは、僕はあまり好きじゃない、いつまでたっても、外国人ならCommonかBeastie boysくらい、日本人ならNujabesかMummy-Dくらい。でも、曲単位であれば、Hip-hopって名曲が本当にたくさんある。黄金Code進行を使われることも多いが、Still not a playerはすばらしく名曲です。このBig punだけでなく、様々なArtistsがカバーしています。特に印象的だったのはIncubusのカバーです。たしか、なんかコンピレーションアルバムに入っていたので、なかなかいまでも手に入らない、どこにいったかわからない。今日、Ituneにある3万曲からランダム再生をしていたら、見つかった！！久しぶりに聴いて、やっぱり良いなあと思い、Blogにも残すべきと思った。Incubusバージョンは残念ながらituneにはなかったが、Big punのはあるので、是非聴いてみて。
